Mentoring Program
Students
As an Asian American student, you may have a harder time finding faculty or staff role models who might have had experiences similar to your own. You may wish you could talk with "someone who looks like me"; someone who immediately understands my experiences and perspectives"; "someone whose very presence lets me know I, too, can make it." We will try our best to link you up with someone who shares your interests. We hope that the mentoring program will provide a solid base of social, academic, and emotional support for Asian American students, easing the transition from high school to college life. Our aim is to stimulate discussion of Asian American issues and to build a stronger and more diverse Asian American community. In addition, we hope to promote awareness and foster interaction within the entire student body.
Asian American Faculty/Staff/Graduate Students/Alumni/C-U Community Members
Today's Asian American students are eager for people who have graduated and have more life experience to offer them advice in career choices, family relationships, college life, and ethnic identity. Are you someone who can both listen and offer advice on these issues? Become a mentor and make a positive impact on the lives of today's college students.
