Greek Oscars and National Awards: Overview

Outstanding organizations are recognized at various times during the year. Each spring, the Greek Excellence Awards are given away. This evening, called "Greek Oscars" highlights exceptional work of our organizations in the Interfraternity and Panhellenic Councils. There is an application process that is used. Only chapters submitting applications are eligible. Exceptions include awards such as highest GPA and most improved as they are determined through the grade reports provided by Fraternity and Sorority Affairs. In addition, the Black Greek Council recognizes chapters with awards at their spring banquet.

In addition, there are other events and occasions where awards are presented. Our annual Black Greek Council Stepdown is an opportunity for BGC member organizations to showcase their talents. In addition, Greeks are very active in Atius Sachem Leadership Honorary. Their Annual Mom's Day Sing event is also a time for fraternities and sororities to shine.
