Resume Critique sponsored by The Career Center is offered at La Casa on Mondays from 3:00-5:00pm in room 204.

Counseling Center Drop in Hours Geneva Reynaga-Abiko, Psy.D.is available at La Casa every Wednesday afternoon from 3:30-5pm for walk-in appointments.

La Casa hosts MEET McKinley, the Health Resource Center on Thursdays 2-5pm on the second floor in Room 204.  On a student budget? Join the Peer Recruitment Program (PRP) as part of the Office of Admissions and Records! If you are interested in helping with the recruitment of underrepresented student populations to our campus, join PRP and participate in the high school visits coming up during Winter Break.  For more information, please email Luis Narváez, Admissions Counselor at the Chicago Satellite Office (narvazgt@uiuc.edu).

The University of Illinois will be hosting information sessions on National Security Education Program (NSEP) undergraduate study abroad scholarships. In each 30-minute session, participants will receive information about the scholarship program and tips on filling out competitive applications. The campus application deadline is January 18, 2007 for any study between May 2007 and May 2008. The National Security Education Program (NSEP) provides study abroad scholarships of $6,000-$20,000 for a full academic year, $4,000-$10,000 for a semester, or $2,500-$8,000 for a summer session of at least 6 weeks. Scholarships may be used for U.S. citizens to study in Asia, Africa, Central & Eastern Europe, Latin America, or the Middle East on almost any study abroad program. 3rd Biennial Latina/o Studies Graduate Student Conference invites proposals/abstracts for an interdisciplinary graduate student conference to be held at UIUC on February 23-25, 2007. The purpose of this Conference is to explore the historical and cultural processes that affect Latinas/os in the U.S. Abstracts should be no more than 500 words along with title, name, contact information, program, and university affiliation and should be submitted no later than December 1, 2006. Get Credit for Talking! Train as a peer discussion leader for ACE IT (Alchol Culture Expored Interactive Theatre) a freshman orientation program that promotes risk reduction rather than abstinence.
