Urbana is Seeking Applicants for a Public Arts Task Force The City of Urbana is establishing a Public Arts Program and is seeking applicants to serve on a Public Arts Task Force. The Task Force will make recommendations to City Council on a Public Arts Program and establishment of a Public Arts Commission to promote art -- in all its forms -- as an integral part of the civic environment. Diversity Conference The University of Wisconsin-Madison will be hosting the 2nd Annual Creating Institutional Change Conference on March 23-25, 2007. The conference will be composed of sessions and activities focusing on: future initiatives regarding diversity on campuses; developing and encouraging leadership to improve campus climate for underrepresented populations; institutional racism; increasing campus awareness of different cultures and ethnicities; fostering better understanding of racial dynamics, gender behaviors, sexual orientation, and cross-cultural communication; and enhancing college student academic excellence. The overall theme is to "Increase awareness, encourage leadership, and foster partnerships.” For more information, please visit the conference website. Costco Pharmacy Scholar Program Application deadline on March 15, 2007 Students must be pursuing a degree in Pharmacy, come from an Hispanic background, be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, demonstrate financial need, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, have completed one-year of pharmacy school or are in their second year into their pharmacy education.
