Resume Critiques at the Corners sponsored by The Career Center every Monday 3pm-5pm in conference room 211. Does your resume need updating? This is the place to receive help on this!

Undergraduate Library Drop-in Hours every 2nd Tuesday from 2-3pm. Undergrad Librarian Emily Love will be available to help with Library online resources.

The Counseling Center has office hours in La Casa's conference room 211 every Wednesdays from 3-4pm. Rene Monteagudo is available for scheduled appointments and/or walk-ins or if you just want to chat.

The Writer’s Workshop is offering brief personal statement workshops this semester. Sessions will be interactive, starting with a brief presentation given by our consultants introducing the concept of personal statements, followed by a discussion on some strategies and pitfalls, and some time for questions and answers. Power Reading Course designed to help students improve their reading speed, concentration, comprehension and productivity. This is a non-graded, non-credit, twelve session course that meets for 50 minutes on a M-W or T-TH sequence. Sessions will be available twice a semester. Books and materials will be provided. B.T. Washington School

Urban League of Champaign County’s College to Career Program Individuals enrolled in this program will work closely with the Urban League to develop employability skills through Community Service, so as to be placed in an Internship either in their career field or a related career field.  All hours completed through this program for Community Service and Internship will be paid for through a stipend provided by the Urban League to the participant.  The ultimate goal is to link college students with the Champaign-Urbana community, and to provide them with the ability to gain full-time employment if they seek to do so at the end of the Internship. Spanish Interviewer Position-Health Statistics Office A bi-lingual candidate with strong Spanish skills in both oral language and reading skills. 15 to 18 hours per work work on Monday nites until 7:30 p.m. and every other Saturday from 8 to 12.  In addition to these fixed hours, the candidate must work some hours during weekday mornings and some hours during weekday afternoons.  We are flexible with the daytime hours, but prefer to have someone on site 3 times per week, dividing their shifts into 4 to 6 hour increments.  This posting closes on February 7th if interested contact Joyce Prince, Manager, at 217-557-5952 or 217-785-1064.

Hispanic College Fund Scholarship Program. The Hispanic College Fund has opened its Scholarship Programs for 2008-2009. Eligibility: Must be Hispanic or of Hispanic descent, Must have earned GPA 3.0, Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year.
