What is the LCCL congratulatory ceremony?
The Latina/o Congratulatory Ceremony is the only Latina/o and Bilingual Ceremony held on campus. All students are welcome to participate in this memorable ceremony.
Participating students receive a stole representing their national and cultural heritage(s), a certificate of achievement, and their name on a brass plaque permanently displayed at La Casa. The printed program will list each student's name, college and major.
Where and when is the LCCL ceremony held?
The ceremony takes place every year on the Saturday evening before the all-campus commencement ceremonies. This year the ceremony will take place on May 10, 2008 at 7:30 pm in the Krannert Center Great Hall, 500 South Goodwin, Urbana.
An informal reception will be held at La Casa following the ceremony.
