Attendance

Registration is mandatory.

You must attend Registration in order to have all the materials for course registration and advising. Even if you have relatives or friends who have attended the University of Illinois, many processes (including registration) change every year, so it is imperative that you have the most complete information.

Parents are not required to attend your Registration Program with you, but 2/3 of parents choose to do so. We recommend that parents discuss this with their student to determine how comfortable the student might feel about attending independently.

For parents who have attended Registration in previous years with other children, the 2008 Registration Program will be similar in many ways. However, the University of Illinois is always changing and we will be providing the most up-to-date information to students and their families during this time.
