Abuse in Relationships/Dating Abuse/Domestic Violence

The words "dating" and "abuse or violence" don't seem to belong together, and they shouldn't. However, for approximately one out of four college students who date, dating violence is a reality involving physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. Dating abuse occurs in all socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, and religious groups. Abuse in relationships isn't only a straight problem. It exists in the gay and lesbian communities at approximately the same rate as in heterosexual relationships.
